ABOUT TOO PETTY TO QUIT
The thoughts, setbacks and strange negotiations that happen around weight loss
Too Petty to Quit is a personal site about the quiet war in your head when you are trying to lose weight. The bargains, the backtracking, the good intentions, the setbacks, the wins and the ordinary choices that still count. It is for anyone who is tired of starting over and ready to stick it out.

What this site is
I have spent most of my life dieting in one form or another. I know the hopeful beginnings, the big promises and the slow drift back into old habits.
This time, I am trying to be more honest about what actually helps me, what repeatedly trips me up and what makes it easier to stay with it when the shine wears off.

What you’ll find here
You will find personal articles about motivation, setbacks, body confidence, other people, the scale and the amount of thought that weight loss can demand.
I also share the habits, compromises and ways of thinking that work for me. They are not instructions, but they may offer some inspiration, a useful idea or the relief of recognising your own thoughts in someone else’s words. I am not here with a perfect answer. What I can offer is camaraderie.

What this site is not
This is not a diet plan, a medical resource or a promise of quick results. I am not a doctor, dietitian or therapist, and I do not tell anyone what they should eat or how they should manage their health.
This is one person’s experience. What helps me may not suit you, and nothing here should replace qualified professional advice.

A note on anonymity
I write as Too Petty to Quit and keep identifying details private. Anonymity gives me room to be honest while protecting the people and relationships around me.
The name is hidden. The experiences are very much not.

If this content feels difficult
Some articles discuss overeating, restriction, guilt, body image and the urge to control food or weight more tightly. These subjects affect people differently.
Please read at your own pace and step away from anything that feels unhelpful. Relevant articles will also link to the dedicated support page.

A final note
I hope this site feels less like advice from above and more like company from someone in the middle of it too.
There will be difficult days, but there will also be wins, relief, progress and moments when you realise you handled something differently. Those count too.

Support and urgent help
If thoughts about food, weight, eating or your body are becoming overwhelming, or you are worried about your immediate safety because of them, please seek qualified support.
The support page contains reputable UK and US organisations offering help with eating concerns, body image and related emotional distress, along with crisis information for anyone who may be at immediate risk.
